Shri Swami Vivekanand Shikshan Sansthan’s Kamala Neharu Jr. College of education, karad was established in June 1955 by Late Shikash Masharshi Dr. Bapuji Salunkhe with great vision and motto.
“Dissemination of Education for knowledge, science and refined culture” The College is located in the prime and historical area of the city having pleasant Samadhi parisar of Late Yashwantrao Chanan who was the first chief minister of Maharashtra and major architect of modern Maharashtra.
The second goal in the United Nations Millennium Development Goal is to achieve “Universal Primary Education” we all know that Elementary Education is the backbone of all education process. Our college having D.El Ed courses, in service training programme and recently SCERT give us NIOS D.El Ed programmes responsibility.
All these courses deal with primary education we have qualified staff for teaching and non-teaching our main objectives of institution are as follows.

- Developing ability for critical thinking and logical judgment.
- Enjoy learning and develop desire to continue learning.
- Develop aesthetic values and appreciate own and other people’s culture.
- To Develop awareness and appreciation of the role of Elementary Education in national development.
