In 1954 Dr. Bapuji Salunkhe along with his few selected co-operative friends took an oath in Murlidhar Temple of founding an Institution on the river banks of Krishna-Koyna in Karad city. Finally on 19 October 1954, he established an institution named "Shree Swami Vivekanand Shikshan Sanstha" the work began with the slogan of "Spread of Education for Knowledge, Science and Culture Accordingly the institutions main office was at Budhwar Peth, Gangavase Rajarsh Shahu Highschool. Now it is at Tarabai Park. The institution has five branches and one of them is "Kamala Nehru Adhyapika Vidyalaya". Dr. Bapuji Salunkhes main motive was to educate the women. Become on educated women can educate the whole family.
"Matruhasten Bhojanam" according to this saying one woman as a teacher can teach all the students in the class the lessons of good manners and culture with love and affection. With this generous aim on 9 june 1955 "Kamala Nehru Junior College of Education came into existence". Till today many students have grabbed well-education and are further working for the main cause all over Maharashtra. 9 june 2005 to 9 june 2006 this Year is celebrated as Golden Year with different cultural and social activities.
The total capacity of the students in the college is 40. Internal serving education includes two classes. To provide all the benefits there is highly educated and fully experienced faculty staff with valuable guidance.
All the needy and necessary facilities are provided by the institution for the student needs. On the whole college campus and surrounding atmosphere is really enthusiastic and happy.
